About

My work is rooted in the belief that healing and change arise through relationship with ourselves and with others. I draw from a range of therapeutic models including humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT and body-oriented approaches, adapting to each person’s unique way of being. My approach is both relational and trauma informed.

This deeper and wider access to different methods enables me to offer a flexible and holistic approach to treatment, which will be formulated specifically for your individual needs.

I have a particular interest in working with clients who have experienced trauma. Whether these are one-off experiences or more complex, like those arising out of childhood abuse.

A key focus of the therapy is in processing what adaptive patterns of behaviour and relating were established through these early experiences in an effort to withstand them; what impact these patterns are having in the present both positive and negative and to find ways forward towards acceptance and/or change.

As client, you will be an active participant in our relational approach to the work and the strength of our working alliance will be core to our success.

To facilitate your progress in meeting your therapeutic needs, I will ensure that we work to build a dynamic, non-judgemental, supportive relationship, within a professional relational framework of mutual confidentiality and trust.
